CORA - Center for Organismic Adaptation

All organisms have to adapt to survive. CORA unites research areas that aim to understand the capacity of organisms to adapt to changing environments, including climate change. We investigate living organisms in the context of their interactions with other organisms, reflecting the natural environment, in which no organism exists alone. We work across levels, assessing the mechanism of adaptation at the cellular, organismal and ecosystem level combing molecular and ecological approaches with computational biology and AI. More broadly, CORA aims to uncover fundamental principles of organismic interactions as the basis to persist throughout evolution and coping with environmental conditions on planet Earth at present times.
